Thomas Womble killed after fight leads to shooting in Sandersville
The GBI was called upon to assist the Sandersville Police Department in the ongoing investigation.
At approximately 1:30 this morning, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sandersville Police responded to a shooting incident at the 478 Loft Event Center, situated off Hwy 15 within the City limits of Sandersville.
It is believed that a confrontation occurred inside the event center, leading the individuals involved and others to quickly exit into the parking lot.
Gunshots were fired, resulting in the fatality of one individual.
Victim has been indentified as Thomas Womble.
The GBI was called upon to assist the Sandersville Police Department in the ongoing investigation.
