The San Antonio Police Department has named the individual charged with the fatal shooting of another man on the Southwest side Saturday morning.
Michael Hernandez is alleged to have taken the life of 29-year-old Michael Ray Zepeda.
The incident occurred prior to 8 a.m. in the vicinity of Excellence Drive near Old Pearsall Road, as per SAPD.
Authorities received a report of a shooting at an apartment complex from a woman who stated that her ex-boyfriend shot her current boyfriend multiple times in the stomach in the parking lot.
The alleged shooter, Hernandez, fled the scene but was apprehended approximately a mile away.
According to police, Hernandez and the woman share three children but have been separated for over a year.
