21-year-old Valdosta State University student Brianna Long shot and killed at Flip Flops Bar in Lowndes County
A source informed to Channel3 that a suspect may be in custody.
Last night, a tragic incident unfolded at Brianna Long’s workplace, Flip Flops Bar in Lowndes County, Georgia.
The 21-year-old Valdosta State University student lost her life in a shooting.
Law enforcement was summoned to the scene after reports indicated that several individuals discharged firearms outside the bar on Baytree Rd, Valdosta, GA (Remerton).
Regrettably, one of the individuals fired shots through the bar’s window, fatally striking the young bartender. Brianna Long was declared deceased at the scene.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., a source informed to Channel3 that a suspect may be in custody. It’s important to note that this information has yet to be officially confirmed by law enforcement.
As of now, neither local law enforcement nor the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has issued an official statement regarding the matter.
