Charles Thomas shot and killed in Orange Mound

In Orange Mound on Monday afternoon, a male individual was fatally shot, as confirmed by the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

According to MPD, the shooting took place at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Barron Court.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered a deceased man at the scene, later identified as Charles Thomas.

When Channel3 NOW teams reached the location, they found Barron Court Apartments cordoned off with crime scene tape.

At least seven Memphis Police vehicles occupied the apartment complex’s parking area as authorities conducted their investigation.

There is no immediate information available regarding the identity of the assailant.
