In what appears to be a murder-suicide, a woman and the suspected shooter have tragically lost their lives at a Sarasota veterinary clinic, as reported by law enforcement.

Deputies were dispatched shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday to the KindVet of Sarasota Urgent Care at 3900 Clark Road, in response to reports of gunfire, stated Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Evan Keats.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found two women at the scene—the suspect and the victim, as Keats explained.

One of them was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. It is believed that the shooter first targeted the woman before taking her own life.

Morgan Kronstadt identified as the shooter in apparent murder-suicide shooting at KindVet of Sarasota Urgent Care.
