Officers from Bartow County and Cartersville law enforcement agencies are currently at the site of a shooting incident involving one of their K-9 units.

The incident occurred at a truck stop situated along U.S. 411 near Tellus Drive, just off Interstate 75 in Cartersville.

According to police sources, the K-9 was subjected to multiple gunshots. Law enforcement personnel were seen conducting a thorough search of the nearby wooded area.

The driver of the vehicle is suspected to be involved in a kidnapping case from Floyd County, as per the same sources.
