Man shot at Walmart in Arlington, suspect in custody

Arlington police are currently conducting an investigation following a shooting incident that took place at the store entrance of the Walmart situated in the 900 block of E. Randol Mill Road.

This incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th.

According to investigators, both the victim and the suspect initially arrived at the store with the intention of using a cell phone buy-back kiosk.

However, when the kiosk dispensed the money, it is believed that the victim attempted to flee with it. Subsequently, the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim.

Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound near the front entrance.

He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect has been apprehended by the police.
