All students and staff at Avon Grove High School are now out of harm’s way, and the lockdown has been lifted.

At around 10 a.m., the school received a call that was traced back to Nebraska, indicating a threat to the campus.

Pennsylvania State Police promptly intervened, initiating a lockdown and thoroughly securing the building.

They conducted a comprehensive sweep of the school and determined that this call was part of a troubling nationwide pattern known as ‘swatting,’ where anonymous calls aim to disrupt institutions like schools.

As of 10:45 a.m., our high school remains in a controlled movement status, primarily to assist the police in regulating the movement of individuals within the premises.
