The Moore County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal home invasion that occurred on Sunday.

Tynasha Collins, a 23-year-old resident of 106 Forest Circle in Aberdeen, was tragically shot and killed by the intruders, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene around 4:15 p.m. following a report of a home invasion at the same address. Upon arrival, they discovered that Collins had sustained gunshot wounds and, regrettably, succumbed to her injuries.

Sheriff’s investigators established that a gunfire exchange occurred inside the residence involving both the home invaders and the occupants.

He was conveyed to Moore Regional Hospital via private vehicle, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are actively seeking to identify at least two additional individuals involved in the home invasion resulting in Collins’ tragic demise.

The incident is suspected to have drug-related implications, as stated by the sheriff’s office.
