Update: An apprehension has been effected in connection with the shooting incident at the Sunoco on Tuesday morning, as confirmed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident transpired shortly before 7:30 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station situated at 6825 Hawkinsville Road, near Smiley’s Flea Market.
Tragically, 22-year-old Devin Dewayne Fincher was discovered deceased adjacent to his vehicle. A person of interest in the shooting, identified as 23-year-old Joseph Cam Joyner, has been named.

At approximately noon, Joyner was taken in for questioning and subsequently charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is presently being held without bond.

A fatal shooting occurred at a gas station in south Bibb, as reported by Bibb County Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.
The incident took place shortly before 7:30 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station situated at 6825 Hawkinsville Road near Smiley’s Flea Market.
