Elyria police investigating a possible drive-by shooting at East River and Cornell Avenue

Elyria police are currently at the East River and Cornell Avenue intersection, conducting an investigation into a potential drive-by shooting.

The intersection is presently closed, and it’s anticipated to remain so for a while. Investigators have identified casings along East River and are documenting the scene through photographs.

According to initial reports, a residence at the corner was hit by gunfire.

Authorities are actively searching for at least one vehicle, a black Oldsmobile with tinted windows, believed to be linked to the shooting.
