Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio killed in shooting at Tampa Holiday Inn

Tampa police responded to a shooting incident at a Holiday Inn located at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive around 4:40 am on Sunday morning.

The details surrounding the event are still under investigation.

Tampa Police Department spokesperson Joneé Lewis provided preliminary details on the Sunday morning shooting at the Holiday Inn. According to Lewis, two vehicles were targeted in the gunfire.

Tragically, one person, believed to be 26-year-old Charles Jones, died at the scene.

Three other victims sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. It’s important to note that the medical examiner has not yet confirmed the identity of the deceased.

Investigators believe the victims were attempting to rent a room at the hotel when the shooting occurred. Thankfully, their injuries appear non-life-threatening, according to Police Department spokesperson Joneé Lewis.

To piece together a clearer picture of the incident, officers are reviewing surveillance footage from the area. They are also assisting hotel guests navigating the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made yet.

She stated that he died after celebrating his birthday in Tampa and posted a photo of him from that night.

An individual associated with the victim, Blanco Mani, posted a tribute on social media shortly after the incident. Her account is now private.

The investigation is ongoing, with Tampa Police focusing on identifying the shooter(s).
