Canton Police are investigating a deadly shootout that left one person dead and five others injured.
According to Canton Police Chief Otha Brown, the shooting occurred on Hickory Street just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Chief Brown reported that someone at a popular hangout spot randomly started firing into a large crowd.
20-year-old Jontravious Warren was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
Five others, including two minors, were also shot and have serious injuries.
Deputies are currently searching for a person of interest who may have information about the crime.
Chief Brown announced that all activities at the popular hangout spot on Hickory Street are canceled until further notice.
