Victor Martinez-Hernandez arrested for the murder of Rachel Morin
The suspect in Rachel Morin’s murder was also linked by DNA to a home invasion and assault in LA March 2023.
Harford County Sheriff’s Office announced a break in the Rachel Morin case on Saturday.
They arrested Victor Martinez-Hernandez in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday night and charged him with first-degree murder and rape in connection with Morin’s death.
Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, vanished while running on the Ma & Pa Trail in August 2023. Her body was found by volunteers the following day.
The investigation took a shocking turn weeks later when DNA evidence revealed a connection between Morin’s murder and a Los Angeles home invasion suspect.
