Two individuals were tragically killed in a plane crash at Chino Airport in San Bernardino County.

The FAA has confirmed that a Lockheed 12A Electra Junior, registered to Vintage Aero Aviation and operated by the Yanks Air Museum as N93R, crashed shortly after taking off from Chino Airport in San Bernardino County, California, at approximately 12:35 PM.

There were two people on board.

While identities haven’t been officially released, Yanks Air Museum sources confirmed to Channel3 NOW that one of the victims was Frank Wright, their Chief of Operations, who had reportedly participated in a panel discussion just before the crash.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but both occupants of the plane were pronounced dead at the site.

The crash site was quickly secured by local authorities, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was notified to conduct a thorough investigation.

Preliminary reports suggest that there may have been mechanical issues with the aircraft, but investigators are still examining the wreckage to determine the exact cause.

The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their families.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
