There is no active shooter situation at Westside High School in Anderson County, South Carolina.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a 911 call around 12:30 p.m. regarding shots fired inside the school.

Deputies and other law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene and entered the building.

As of 1 p.m., the school is secure, with no shots fired and no injuries reported.

Authorities will conduct an investigation to determine the origin of the 911 call.

The school district stated that students were placed in “shelter-in-place” mode while the situation was under investigation.
