Authorities are searching for three suspects following a targeted shooting in Gulfgate. The incident occurred at a gas station located at 2490 South Wayside Drive, just off the I-45 Gulf Freeway, around 8:20 p.m. on Monday.

According to Houston police, four men entered the convenience store to make purchases, returned outside, and then entered a black Cadillac Escalade.

Immediately after the men entered the vehicle, three suspects arrived in two separate cars, exited their vehicles, and began shooting at the Cadillac, according to HPD.

Video footage from the scene depicts the windshield of the Cadillac pierced by bullet holes. Amid the shooting, two of the victims exited the Cadillac and sought refuge inside the convenience store.

A 34-year-old man succumbed to his injuries, while a 29-year-old man remains in critical condition, as reported by HPD.

The remaining two individuals escaped unharmed.

HPD mentioned that one of the victims was in possession of a pistol, but it remains uncertain whether he had the opportunity to retaliate.

According to HPD, the suspects fled the scene in a silver Dodge Charger and a silver Mercedes Benz, as reported. Their last known direction was towards Telephone Road after leaving the parking lot.

The suspects were described as three Hispanic men dressed entirely in white attire.

HPD shared surveillance images of the suspects on social media on Tuesday morning, hoping that someone might recognize them.

Investigators are currently scrutinizing surveillance footage from the area.
