1 injured in shooting at Walmart in Lancaster
The suspect is reportedly fleeing toward Park Circle Apartments.
In Lancaster, authorities responded to reports of an active shooter near Avenue J and 20th Street West on Friday afternoon, prompting concerns in the area.
Although shots were reportedly fired, no active shooter was discovered at the scene.
Firefighter-paramedics were dispatched in response to a reported assault with a deadly weapon.
One individual was transported to a medical facility with unspecified injuries, the nature of which was not immediately clear.
Additionally, one person was apprehended at a nearby Taco Bell.
Portions of the parking lot were sectioned off with yellow tape near the Walmart store’s front entrance.
