24-year-old Ja’Sean Coleman killed after shooting in downtown Omaha

Omaha Police have verified that one individual succumbed to injuries following a shooting in the early hours of Monday.
Responding to a call labeled as “nature unknown” near 12th and Howard Streets shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers discovered 24-year-old Ja’Sean Coleman inside a Jeep, having sustained a gunshot wound.
Life-saving procedures were initiated by Douglas County personnel as Coleman was transported to the hospital.
According to OPD, Coleman later passed away at the hospital.
