34-year-old Kwame Acosta arrested for the shooting death of 27-year-old Davarcea Fort in Rochester
He faces charges of murder, assault, and menacing, and was transported to Monroe County Jail where he was formally charged.
A man is being charged following accusations that he shot two individuals, resulting in the death of one, last week in a residence located in the 19th Ward.
According to the police, Kwame Acosta, aged 34, allegedly shot and fatally wounded Davarcea Fort, aged 27, on Thursday during a dispute at a residence on Farragut Street.
Acosta is also accused of shooting another individual, aged 27, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.
Authorities located Acosta and apprehended him on Tuesday morning.
