Man in custody after a pursuit and crash in Fort Walton Beach

An individual has been apprehended following a chase and collision in Fort Walton Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
Fort Walton Beach Police reported receiving a call regarding a potential active shooter at Thai Spice located on Highway 98 and Miracle Strip Parkway.
Upon the officer’s arrival, the suspect fled the scene in a pickup truck, initiating a pursuit.
Law enforcement officials stated that the individual collided with a sheriff’s office vehicle on Beal Parkway before crashing in the parking area adjacent to Kohl’s and Hardee’s.
Following the incident, the suspect was subsequently apprehended.
