A shooting at a residence in southwest Bakersfield on Friday morning has resulted in one fatality.

The incident was reported in the 6000 block of Provincetown Avenue, located just north of Taft Highway, before 6:30 a.m.

Police indicated that a person with significant injuries was discovered at the scene.

The victim, a boy appearing to be in his teens, was pronounced dead at the scene, as announced by the police on Friday afternoon.
