Domestic Violence: Couple Terrance Coney and Nichole Coney found dead in apparent murder-suicide in Ellisville

Law enforcement has categorized the deaths as a murder-suicide resulting from domestic violence.

A Jones County couple has tragically lost their lives in what authorities suspect to be a murder-suicide.

The Ellisville Police Department reported that the incident occurred at 504 Dobson Street in the early morning hours of January 2.

Responding to a welfare check call, officers arrived at the scene around 5 a.m.

Upon entering the residence, they found the lifeless bodies of Terrance Coney, 38, and Nichole Coney, 33, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

The EPD stated that the initial cause of death was gunshot wounds.

Although the investigation is still in progress, law enforcement has categorized the deaths as a murder-suicide resulting from domestic violence.

The family of the couple was informed, and various relatives arrived at the location shortly after being notified by the police.

In an official statement, the Ellisville Police Department requested the community to keep the Coney family in their thoughts and prayers.
