Officers found no evidence of shooting at Washington Manor Middle School in San Leandro

San Leandro Police acknowledged receiving a report of a shooting at Washington Manor Middle School on Tuesday mid-morning.

However, upon arrival, officers did not discover any indications of a shooting incident on the premises.

The report was received at approximately 11:41 a.m. Despite their efforts, officers were unable to find any evidence of a shooting or locate the initial caller who had reported it.

Video footage of the school site revealed the presence of numerous police units, along with at least two ambulances and one unit from the San Leandro Fire Department, all of which had responded to the incident.

The San Leandro Police Department has stated that officers are currently present at the scene, collaborating with school personnel and carrying out a thorough safety assessment of the school premises.

As a result, traffic in the vicinity is anticipated to experience delays until the safety check concludes, according to the police statement.
