Police responded to reports of shooting at Walmart in Darlington

According to Darlington Police Chief Jimmy Davis, a dispute between two individuals escalated when one of them brandished a firearm on Friday afternoon at the Walmart in Darlington.

The person who drew the gun possessed a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) and believed their life was in jeopardy.

It’s important to note that no shots were discharged during the incident.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

At least one suspect has been detained.

Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
