A shooter was inside the building, attempting to execute a plan but ultimately failed, according to the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD).

The suspected shooter ended up taking his own life and is deceased.

This incident occurred at a business, not at the mall.

The CPD has not confirmed whether the shooter fired any shots before committing suicide.

Authorities will remain on the scene for several hours.
