60-Year-Old Disneyland Employee Bonnye Lear Dies After Falling from Moving Golf Cart at Anaheim Theme Park

Disneyland is in mourning after a beloved Cast Member, Bonnye Mavis Lear, passed away. Lear, a 60-year-old resident of Fullerton, died on Friday after a tragic accident.

According to authorities, Lear fell from a moving golf cart and struck her head in the backstage area of the park near Club 33 on Wednesday, June 5th around 11:30 am.

The Anaheim Police Department is investigating the incident.

When police arrived at the scene, they found that Lear had fallen from a moving golf cart and hit her head.

She was taken to the hospital and succumbed to her injuries on Friday, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Ken Potrock, president of the Disneyland Resort, expressed his condolences and stated that the company is focused on supporting her family and coworkers.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,” said Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland Resort. He continued, “We are focused on supporting her family and our cast members through this tragic event and ensuring they have the resources they need.”

Lear worked in membership support services at Club 33, a members-only restaurant and lounge in the New Orleans Square area of the park.
