20-year-old Isis Walker killed after shooting at Marathon gas station in Flint

Police confirm an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting.

Tragedy struck Flint’s north side early Sunday morning as a shooting at the Marathon gas station on North Saginaw Street (near Carpenter Road) claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman.

Michigan State Police responded to the call around 1:45 am and found the victim with gunshot wounds.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was sadly pronounced dead.

Victim has been identified as 20-year-old Isis Destine Walker.

Police confirm an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting.

Police believe they found the suspect behind the shooting. Investigators identified a suspect and secured a warrant to search their home.

A specialized Michigan State Police unit executed the warrant on Sunday and apprehended the suspect peacefully.

Due to ongoing legal proceedings, the suspect’s name hasn’t been released yet.

They are currently being held at the Genesee County Jail until their arraignment and formal charges are filed.

Authorities haven’t disclosed any details about what might have caused the shooting.
