Mass casualty incident reported after stage collapses during event at El Obispo in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo León

The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, has confirmed that the collapse of the stage at the MC event in San Pedro Garza García has resulted in 5 deaths and 50 injuries so far.

During a campaign closing event of Lorenia Canavati, candidate for Citizen’s Movement for the mayor of San Pedro, in Nuevo León, the template fell down.

The crash happened around 20 hours, in the middle of the rain at the baseball field ‘El Obispo’, in the western zone of the municipality of San Pedro, and among the leaders present was the guest presidential candidate Jorge Alvarez Máynez, who left unharmed.
