Octavious Cummings Jr found dead at North Jetty Park in Nokomis
Authorities have closed off the park for the investigation.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, a person was fatally shot in Sarasota County on Sunday evening.
Deputies arrived at North Jetty Park, located at 1000 South Casey Key Road in Nokomis, around 7:16 p.m.
They found the victim, Octavious Cummings Jr., deceased at the scene.
Authorities have closed off the park for the investigation.
