Kentavious Condery and Deontre Taylor arrested and charged for the shooting death of 33-year-old Patrick Bland
Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between neighbors.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on May 16, 2024, GPD responded to the report of multiple shots fired on Sterling Pointe Drive.
When officers arrived they located 33-year-old Patrick Monta Bland, near Building 3909, suffering from gunshot wounds. Bland died from his injuries.
Kentavious Terell Condery, 20, of Farmville, has been charged with an open count of murder in connection with the shooting.
A second individual, Deontre Markee Taylor, 32, of Winterville, has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property.
Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between neighbors. A preliminary investigation suggests Bland was visiting Taylor at the time of the shooting and was not the intended target.
The investigation is ongoing.
