Montgomery police are looking into a shooting incident that occurred overnight, resulting in one fatality and another person sustaining injuries.
Authorities responded to the 3400 block of McGehee Road at approximately 12:40 a.m. Sunday following reports of a shooting victim.
The deceased has been identified as Trevoncia Simmons, 26, of Montgomery.
Simmons suffered life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
Additionally, officers found a man with non-life-threatening injuries caused by a gunshot wound at the scene.
He was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
The Montgomery Police Department is currently conducting a homicide investigation, and no further details have been provided at this stage.
