Fayetteville Police are actively searching for 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, who is now wanted for Murder and Aggravated Assault following the shooting incident inside the Walmart store entryway on Friday.

Sadly, 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale, GA, passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting.

Additionally, a stray bullet struck a 9-year-old female juvenile, but her injuries are non-life-threatening.

Sandra Romero-Nunez, 19, of Fayetteville, GA, has been taken to the Fayette County Jail pending warrants for Party to a Crime related to Murder and Aggravated Assault.

The investigation is ongoing, and updates will follow as available.

The shooting incident was not categorized as an active-shooter situation, nor is it suspected to be random.

Fayetteville Police responded to a “shots fired” call around 10 p.m. Friday, arriving at the scene approximately one minute later, but the suspect had already left in a vehicle.

The abandoned vehicle was later found, prompting a search involving multiple agencies.

Two gunshot victims, an adult male and a juvenile female, were taken to local hospitals.

The adult male was said to be in critical condition, while the juvenile female was reported to be in stable condition.
