Shooting at Walmart in Fayetteville leaves 2 injured including one juvenile

Fayetteville Police diligently continue their search for 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, who is now wanted for Murder and Aggravated Assault in connection with the Friday shooting incident inside the Walmart store entryway.

Tragically, 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale, GA, succumbed to injuries received as a result of the shooting. A stray bullet incidentally struck a 9-year-old female juvenile. The juvenile’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening.

In addition, 19-year-old Sandra Romero-Nunez of Fayetteville, GA, has been transported to the Fayette County Jail, pending warrants for Party to a Crime for the offenses of Murder and Aggravated Assault. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided when available.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at a Walmart in Fayetteville on Friday evening, resulting in injuries to two individuals, as reported by the police.

The Fayetteville Police Department is present at the Walmart located in the Fayette Pavilion shopping center, where the shooting occurred approximately at 10 p.m.

One adult and one juvenile sustained gunshot wounds and were promptly transported to the hospital, according to law enforcement
