Barbour County shooting suspect Michael Mussi allegedly shot and killed Tanner Talbott after discovering his involvement in an intimate relationship with Mussi’s wife

Additional details have emerged about the deadly shooting incident that occurred on the night of March 15.

According to a criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Barbour County, Michael Mussi from Elkins, WV, reportedly shot and killed Tanner Talbott.

This act allegedly occurred after Mussi discovered that Talbott was involved in an intimate relationship with his wife.

The complaint outlines that Mussi contacted Talbott’s fiance to inquire about his work schedule, indicating that Mussi allegedly waited for Talbott to finish work before trailing him.

Eyewitnesses reported that two pickup trucks entered a parking lot at high speed. Upon exiting the vehicles, Mussi reportedly opened fire.

Talbott sustained multiple gunshot wounds before Mussi gestured at him and fled the scene.

Mussi faces charges of first-degree murder and is currently held without bond at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
