Shooting at Walmart in Punxsutawney left one person dead, suspect in custody

Update: Following a shooting at the Punxsutawney Walmart, one individual has tragically lost their life. The victim has been identified as Alex Roy, who was fatally shot by his brother Branson Roy. Pennsylvania State Police Troop C are presently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Following an altercation at Walmart in Punxsutawney, a man was declared deceased as a result of a shooting, as per Pennsylvania State Police.

Pennsylvania State Police reported that a confrontation occurred between two individuals, resulting in one of them being fatally shot.

Assuring the public, law enforcement stated that there are no ongoing threats, and the purported shooter has been apprehended.

The Punxsutawney Area School District was placed on a “perimeter hold,” but it has since been lifted, and an “all-clear” has been issued.
