Person barricaded inside downtown Cosentino’s Market
Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
Authorities have closed off a portion of the downtown area in Kansas City in response to an individual barricading themselves.
The Kansas City Police Department reported that someone has taken refuge inside Cosentino’s Market.
A neighboring apartment complex issued a text alert to its residents, cautioning them about a potential shooter and informing them that the police were assembling in a nearby parking lot.
Spectrum Parents: We’ve received calls and info that there is a situation at Cosentinos with KCPD. They’re reported an “active shooter”. The police are who is in possession of the gun. The suspect is a homeless man. The situation is being handled. The children are in their “lockdown” positions. We wanted to make you aware in case you heard and were worried about safety. Security is staying on point. We will let you know when we are all clear!
