In Lee County on Monday morning, January 8, a 24-year-old woman named Tremya Darden from Okolona lost her life in a shooting, as confirmed by Verona Police Chief Marsenio Nunn.
The incident occurred before 4:00 at an apartment complex on Lesa Avenue.
Upon arrival, police officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the head, and she succumbed to her injuries later.
