Update: Callen appeared via video for an arraignment this morning in Mercer County Magistrate Court, facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Leona Edwards.
As detailed in the criminal complaint filed by West Virginia State Police Senior Trooper N.C. Patton, a report was received around 8 p.m., indicating that a female had been shot at 193 Garder Loop Road.

Patton additionally discovered that Edwards had recently sought a domestic violence protective order against Callen.
Allegedly, Callen had made multiple threats indicating an intention to harm the victim, and it was believed he had been lying in wait for her to exit her vehicle. Witnesses reported observing a male leaving the scene in a white SUV.
Following this information, the individual was traced from Mercer County to Nicholas County, where he was subsequently apprehended.
