Update: On Thursday, the Colorado Springs police disclosed the arrest of a suspect connected to the Christmas Eve shooting at the Citadel Mall.

Josiah Brown, 22, was apprehended on Wednesday and is facing charges of Murder in the First Degree, Attempted Murder, and Assault.

The incident unfolded when a fight erupted between two groups, escalating to gunfire that injured three individuals.

Tragically, 18-year-old Teryus Thomas was found deceased at the scene. Presently, Brown is detained in the El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $1,000,000.
