24-year-old Bryston Varnado killed in Heritage Apartments shooting in Hattiesburg

The individual who lost their life in the fatal shooting on Sunday afternoon in Hattiesburg has been identified by the Forrest County Coroner’s Office.
Deputy coroner Lisa Klem has confirmed that the deceased is 24-year-old Bryston Varnado from Hattiesburg.
When Hattiesburg Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they found Varnado deceased with a gunshot wound.
The incident occurred in response to a report of shots being fired in the 200 block of South 29th Avenue at the Heritage Apartments complex in the Midtown area around 4:05 p.m. on Sunday.
