2 people shot and wounded on Public Square in downtown Cleveland

Channel3 News has received information about two individuals who were shot and injured on Saturday evening at Public Square in downtown Cleveland.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m., with initial reports indicating that one person sustained a gunshot wound to the back, while another was shot in the leg.

Sources have mentioned that one person is currently being questioned.

A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old were shot, as reported by Cleveland EMS.

The incident occurred approximately at 8:45 p.m., with the 13-year-old sustaining minor injuries and the 15-year-old in critical condition, according to Cleveland EMS.

This incident transpired on the night of the downtown holiday festivities, coinciding with the annual tree lighting ceremony that began at 6 p.m.

Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
