Suspect in custody after reports of active shooter near Navarro College campus

We are receiving numerous reports of an active shooter situation in close proximity to Corsicana Middle School, Corsicana High School, and the Navarro College campuses.

It has been reported that law enforcement is actively present near the college campus.

Initial reports suggest that a suspect has been detained and is now in custody. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

Both Corsicana High School (CHS) and Corsicana Middle School (CMS) have taken precautionary measures, ensuring all students are safely indoors with locked doors.

The lockdown status has officially been lifted, as confirmed by the Corsicana Independent School District.
