At least one person shot at North Star Mall
Numerous law enforcement, fire, and EMS units are on-site.
Channel3 is observing an ongoing police situation at North Star Mall, specifically in the 7400 block of San Pedro.
A female loss prevention employee has been shot and injured. Her current condition remains unknown.
Authorities from the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) have verified that one victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Officers from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) arrived at the scene shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, congregating near the entrance of Macy’s.
The male suspect is currently unaccounted for.
There is a possibility that the suspect may still be in the mall vicinity.
As of now, the mall is under lockdown, and it is advised to steer clear of the area.
