Suspect in custody after barricaded at Blue Bonnet Circle in Fort Worth

No injuries have been reported, and the ambulance service has not attended to any patients on the scene, as per the witness.

In west Fort Worth, a man, reportedly seen discharging a firearm while walking along Bluebonnet Circle on Thursday afternoon, sought refuge in nearby businesses and was subsequently apprehended.

At around 3:30 p.m., an observer witnessed the man being apprehended by the police while lying on the ground outside.

Around 2:20 p.m., callers informed 911 operators that a man was seen walking around the traffic circle discharging a firearm, as stated in a preliminary police incident report that provides initial information to responding officers. In response, a police SWAT team was dispatched.

No injuries have been reported, and the ambulance service has not attended to any patients on the scene, as per the witness.

Upon approaching the door, she observed a man crossing the street, producing a gun from his pocket and reloading it. The witness promptly secured the door of her business. She further noted that the man entered a vape store, a salon, and Mellow Mushroom pizza restaurant, appearing to be in a state of disarray.

In response to the shooting near Bluebonnet Circle, which is approximately one mile from TCU, the university issued an emergency alert via text message to students and staff. The message advised them to either steer clear of the vicinity or seek shelter if they were already in the area.
