Savannah High School student injured in shooting while walking to campus

The shooting happened right outside a Savannah Fire Station- their people were able to help the injured student before EMS arrived.

On Wednesday morning, a student from Savannah High School was wounded in a shooting incident while en route to school, as reported by the Savannah Police Department.

The incident took place in the 2000 block of Capital Street, where a group of individuals was walking.

Shots were discharged from a vehicle, the police stated.

The victim has been transported to a Savannah hospital, sustaining serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Currently, Savannah High School is under a soft lockdown.

No arrests have been made in this case.
