Brandon Birds Mcmillian shot and killed during carjacking in Fayetteville

Another possible victim was inside of the vehicle during the carjacking.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred along 200 block of B Street on October 3, 2023.

At approximately 12:36 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 200 block of B Street for the report of a shooting. Upon arriving on scene, officers located one adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Victim has been identified as Brandon Birds Mcmillian.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim drove to the area of B Street. An unknown suspect approached the victim’s vehicle demanding the keys at gunpoint. The unknown suspect shot the victim multiple times and fled the scene in the victims white Dodge Challenger Hell Cat with a black hood.

Another possible victim was inside of the vehicle during the carjacking.
