Greensboro Police investigating deadly shooting at James Benson Dudley High School
On Saturday morning, the Greensboro police confirmed that the victim had succumbed to their injuries.
The Greensboro Police Department is currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that occurred in a parking lot at Dudley High School on Friday night, following a football game.
At approximately 9:50 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a shooting report in the 1200 block of Lincoln Street, which is the location of Dudley High School.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an individual who had sustained gunshot wounds and was in critical condition.
On Saturday morning, the Greensboro police confirmed that the victim had succumbed to their injuries. Guilford County Emergency Medical Services reported that four individuals were transported to the hospital.
Guilford County Schools issued the following statement:
The Greensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place in the parking lot of Dudley High School after the football game on Friday night. All weekend activities have been canceled while the investigation is in progress. The safety of our students and staff is our utmost concern.
