Danelo Cavalcante, a 34-year-old convicted murderer, was captured on Wednesday morning in Chester County following an almost two-week-long manhunt.

Pennsylvania State Police confirmed on Tuesday that they had apprehended the escaped prisoner, who was described as “extremely dangerous,” in South Coventry Township.

He was captured while dressed in what seemed to be a Philadelphia Eagles sweatshirt.

Cavalcante’s apprehension follows reports that he had managed to acquire a firearm, leading law enforcement officials to believe he was confined to the vicinity of South Coventry Township in Chester County.

As of 8:20 AM on Wednesday, police have not yet released any information about how Cavalcante was arrested.

They will provide an update on the situation at 9:30 AM.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
