Lockdown at Alexandria Senior High School lifted

UPDATE: Lockdown has been lifted. All students as the threat was unfounded and faculty are safe .

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the implementation of a lockdown at Alexandria Senior High School in response to a reported threat.

The school administration, along with the School Resource Officer, the Alexandria Police Department, and the Louisiana State Police, are actively investigating the alleged threat.

Alexandria Senior High School issued the following statement:

We are currently on lockdown due to an alleged threat here at the school. The school administration, resource officer, Alexandria Police Department, and Louisiana State Police are investigating the alleged threat.

At this time, we are keeping all students and employees in safe situations and will post when the all clear is confirmed.
